THE HOODWINK AWARD
HOODWINK: Pronunciation: 'hud-"wi[ng]k: To take in by deceptive means; to cause to accept what is false, especially by trickery or misrepresentation; to betray, deceive, dupe, fool; to conceal one's true motives by elaborately feigning good intentions so as to gain an end.
The HOODWINK AWARD is presented on behalf of those “Average Joes and Janes” in our society who seem to have no one representing them in government, business, or the media, because they are too busy trying to make ends meet to achieve the power and influence necessary to have their point of view expressed and implemented.
Since he was a Senator, Joe Carraro has provided the Hoodwink award on behalf of all those Average Citizens whose voices have been disregarded by our elected officials and those administering our government.
